When earlier this year there was a couple in Allegan County that were arrested for having over 350 small dogs and neglecting them, I stopped at Village Market in Allegan. I was a stranger who stopped on a whim and asked for a donation. The manager didn't hesitate, he turned around and gave me over 500 lbs. of dog food to help Wishbone care for all of these animals.I saw on channel 3 news what was going on at the animal shelter and just decided to ask Village Market for help. Allegan is a small town but people pull together and help their neighbors. My opinion is VM is a good corporate citizen. They helped out in a time of need. More people need to know what VM did to help. I am not an official of Wishbone, nor did I show any ID to VM, I was just a volunteer trying to help these animals. I WILL NOT FORGET WHAT VILLAGE MARKET DID TO HELP.
