The groomers are extremely rude, in particular Mackenzie. My dog is three-legged and has been going to the Petsmart groomers for almost 6 years. He also suffers from a little bit of anxiety when he is there so he chews the very thin cheap leashes they put on them. I've asked that they just don't use theirs and take him back in mine. They have charged me a "handling fee" on several occasions because he chews those leashes, which I feel is unfair and at times I fought it but sometimes I just pay the fee. But now they are charging me the handling fee because he has three legs and the NEW groomer was not able to trim his nails because he couldn't balance himself so she needed help. Then they go on to tell me he can no longer make appointments on "busy" weekends because he requires two people when cutting his nails. This was never an issue with more experienced groomers before. I asked how do you identify a "busy" weekend, and Mackenzie says basically he can't come in on ANY Friday - Sunday. So that means never since I work full-time during the week. They are willing to lose a customer that on average spends over $2,000 a year in their store all because it takes two people to help a 3 legged dog have balance or over a chewed cheap leash? What is worse is the manner in which Mackenzie told me all of this. She was extremely rude and cruel, I left in tears. Her customer service was horrible. The bath I get for my dog cost $60 every month, a groomer should be able to deal with having to help a 3 legged dog balance themselves without charging me more or requiring that he not come in when they are "busy". I was there and witnessed a groomer having a difficult time cutting the hair on a very cute little dog, she kept nipping at her, how much do you want to bet that owner didn't get charged a "handling fee". I feel they are being discriminatory towards my dogs disability. I will never bring him here again or buy food, toys, etc. They are horrible. I asked to speak to a manager and there wasn't even one on duty which just empowers the groomer to set their own rules. They handled the situation completely unprofessional.

The groomers do a great job at this PetSmart. My Yorkie gets a great haircut and I've watched them with him (when they can see me and when they can't) and I'm always impressed with how gentle they are. They don't yell, they don't get rough - I feel very confident leaving my dog with this grooming business.

From the groomers to BanField I was pleasantly pleased how my Pomchi was treated. I will continue to take my pet there as long as he 's treated well.

I took my recently acquired rescue Lhasa Apso to the grooming shop there and they were SO kind and gentle with her. I doubt she had ever had a proper clipping before but the groomer was very patience and she got through the whole process without a problem - and looked quite spiffy when everything was done. I have always found the sales staff very helpful and knowledgable when I am trying to find things. It has become my favorite place to shop for pet supplies.

I give one star because I'm not sure 0 will count. I've read about people in the area having trouble with groomers--avoided a place I'd heard did weird things to chows, but what they did to my chow was just vicious-- a gorgeous fluffy boy shaved down--mane gone. Permission? Not on your life. These folks need their license revoked. You may be fine if you have a doberman, but keep your furry pets away from these people.
