      Founded in 1903, Cheney Lime & Cement Company is high-calcium quicklime and hydrated-lime products provider. Based in Alabaster, Ala., the company quarries a large deposit of high-calcium limestone and uses the processes of calcinations and hydration to chemically convert the limestone into lime. Its lime products are shipped across the southeastern United States, including Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and south Carolina. The company caters to a diverse group of industries, such pulp and paper, waste treatment, phosphate, asphalt, steel, power, chemical distributors, tanning and soil stabilization.
