      Established in 1988, North Metro Technical College is a public, two-year postsecondary institution that provides educational services that include individual courses, certificates, diplomas and associate degrees. Located in Acworth, Ga., it offers programs in subjects, such as electronics technology, environmental horticulture, marketing management, medical assisting, computer information systems, cosmetology and industrial systems technology. Additionally, the college offers students career services that include on-campus recruitment, employment referral, career information system and posting employment opportunities. North Metro Technical College also offers several student organizations, including student leadership council, health occupations students of America, professional land care network and National Honor Society. The college offers students financial assistance in the form of grants, scholarships, benefits and federal work-study programs. North Metro Technical College is a unit of the State Department of Technical and Adult Education and is under the policy and administrative control of the State Board of Technical and Adult Education.
