SuperPages.com Introduces Real-Time 'Click to Call' Service Powered
by eStara
New Feature Allows Advertisers to Immediately Talk with Interested
Consumers Via Internet Telephone Services
DALLAS, Tx.
(February 13, 2003) -- Advertisers on Verizon SuperPages.com
now have another way to talk directly with customers. With the new
Click to Call tool, SuperPages.com is offering advertisers Internet
telephone services, also known as voice over Internet protocol (VoIP).
Powered by eStara Inc., Click to Call enables SuperPages.com visitors
to talk with advertisers with just the click of a mouse on the advertiser's
listing.
Click
to Call voice-enabled technology allows for both PC-to-phone and
phone-to-phone calls and requires no additional hardware or software
installation. It enables a customer to call an advertiser anywhere
in the U.S. at no charge because the customer connects to the advertiser
via the Internet either through phone or computer.
"With
Click to Call, SuperPages.com gives advertisers yet another competitive
edge, offering customers another doorway to their businesses," said
Patrick Marshall, group vice president - marketing for Verizon Information
Services. "SuperPages.com is the first online yellow pages directory
to offer VoIP capabilities."
To
use SuperPages.com's Click to Call feature, consumers visit an advertiser's
listing and click the "Talk for Free" button. Next, they choose
"Talk by Phone" or "Talk by PC." Those who chose "Talk by Phone"
enter their phone number and indicate whether they want the call
to occur immediately, in two minutes or in five minutes. The Click
to Call tool bridges the consumer and advertiser by calling both
parties. Either option completes the call in less than 20 seconds.
"eStara
is pleased to have entered into a relationship with Verizon SuperPages.com,
one of the most innovative online directories in the world," said
Tom Natelli, Chairman and CEO, eStara, Inc. "Based on our strong
track record of success with more than 150 corporate customers,
eStara will drive higher online sales for SuperPages.com advertisers
and increase customer satisfaction for users."
Click
to Call is also available on SuperPages.com en Espaņol for advertisers
who can support the language needs of bilingual consumers. Click
to Call is offered nationwide, available in every state, but is
temporarily limited to the "Talk by PC" option in Maryland, West
Virginia and Washington, D.C. Advertisers may purchase Click to
Call service either a la carte or as part of an advertising bundle
on SuperPages.com.
