Information Services to Provide Yellow Pages and White Pages Services
to Excite
DALLAS,
TX (Feb. 22, 2001)-- DALLAS - Verizon Information Services,
the world's largest directory company, today announced a relationship
with Excite@Home (Nasdaq: ATHM), the leader in broadband, to be
the provider of yellow and white pages services for all of Excite@Home's
Web properties. With this agreement, SuperPages.com, a leading online
directory and shopping resource, powers Excite Yellow Pages (http://yellowpages.excite.com)
and Excite PeopleFinder (http://peoplefinder.excite.com).
Excite Yellow Pages allows users of the Excite Network to perform
a variety of searches on Verizon's over 13 million nationwide business
listings. Users can search for business information using any combination
of business name, city, state, zip and telephone number, allowing
them to find exactly what they're looking for.
Excite's new PeopleFinder offers a nationwide search for people,
and allows reverse look-ups by telephone number as well as maps
and driving directions. Users of both Yellow Pages and PeopleFinder
will be able to save and update business and people listings in
a personal address book, allowing frequently used numbers to be
easily and readily accessible.
