These people are LIARS and crooks! I called St. Luke’s for an appointment for an outpatient test. The woman told me that the test would be $350.00. She volunteered this information. At the hospital, I was taken to a cubicle and again told the test would be $350.00. I was asked to sign a paper stating that I would pay whatever my insurance company did not. The test was uneventful-nothing extra was done. I get the bill - $1068.96. I paid the doctor separately so this was just for St. Luke’s. When I called to complain, I was told that I should have gotten the quoted estimate in writing. In other words, it was laughable that I trusted these people to tell me the truth. I called a company that resolves disputes with hospital charges. They said that they had too many complaints from St. Luke’s to count and that since I signed the paper, they could not help me. DO NOT go to this hospital. If for some reason you HAVE to, then get any quotes IN WRITING.

I just had surgery yesterday. ...

I just had surgery yesterday. The doctors and nurses are so very nice and attentive. The place is very clean. Even though I have to wait, the nurses made me comfortable, asking if I need extra blanket or pillow. I have to give 5 stars, or more if there's more.. =) Thanks to all St. Luke's employees. Job well done.

Class A service!!!!!!!!!!

This is a top notch birthing unit. Included in my stay was fresh linens and excellent restaurant service. The nurses tended to my every whim with such rapid response. You can dial in education channels from your bed and a wonderful lactation consultant readily available. The snacks and coffee were terrific. I was very satisfied with my experience and plan to return for baby #2.

Great nurses

I delivered my baby by c section at St Lukes in Sugar Land. The nursing staff was so great. I really have no complaints about them. My nurse Cynthia was so patient with me. She taught me and my family all about caring for my baby. Breastfeeding was hard, but I had the support of the wonderful staff that helped me with this. He started to latch on and kept going and going. My doctor was Dr peterson. He was nice, but the nurses were really the ones who supported me throughout my labor and made my stay at the hosptial actually fun. The service I received from the moment I walked into the door was of royalty. The NICU staff even came by to help me with babycare if I needed it. My other nurse Janna was beautiful and kind. She even sat with me and chatted when my family was gone beacuse I was lonely. i honestly was not in a rush to leave because I loved it so much. I will have all of my future babies here. Thank you.

Blessing for my baby

This hospital looks and feels like a hotel. The food is delivered by room service when i call whenever I want and its actually really good. It honestly had the feel of a hotel room service. I had a great labor, great epidural by Dr Villoreall, but ended up with an emergency C section. My nurses worked together and my baby was delivered so quickly and was perfect. I was terrified, but all along, nurse Robin assured me that I would be taken care of like she would take care of her sister. I belived her and I felt it. She was in charge, and helped out my nurse Kathie. Shirley was also there in the room and taught my husband a lot about caring for my baby, she was like a doctor---only smarter!!!!My husband still wants to call Shirley to ask questions.Nurse Kathy took such good care of me. In my time of need these ladies worked together for the goal of a healthy mom and healthy baby. Kathy was so cool and had a wealth of knowledge. Nurse Robin visited with me daily, which my family thought was so professional. i was treated like royalty at St Lukes Sugar Land. The boss, Mary came by for a visit. She was just as wonderful as her staff. I got real emotional leaving beacuse these ladies were with me in my hour of need and treated me like a friend. I am confident in telling anyone I know that this is THE best hospital I have ever been to. My last delivery was a nightmare with mean nurses at Methodist. I will tell every pregnant one I know about the quality of care and compassion shown by every staff member I encountered. The best way I have is to give an example. My baby would not breastfeed. I had so much teaching on that, even by the nursery staff member Tonya. Noone cared if it wasn't their job, they were there for me and my baby. Kayla finally breasstfed which was celebrated by all in my room. I can't tell you enought about my experience, just that you won't be sorry with this hospital.

wonderful

I came into the ER and was treated so wonderful. We got seen immediatley and was admitted in 30 minutes by a doctor. I went the floor #4 where the nursing staff was like friends taking care of me. I was sick and scared, but was helped by angels in scrubs.
