Columbus Hospital, established in 1934 and located in Newark, N.J., is a more than 200-bed, general acute-care facility with over 470 board-certified and board-eligible physicians, and more than 900 health-care professionals and volunteers. The hospital offers the community a range of medical services and wellness programs that include preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative care. It also has medical, surgical, and obstetrical units, pediatric, radiology and rehabilitative departments, laboratory, pharmacy, outpatient and emergency services and other support areas within the hospital. The Newark Eye and Ear Infirmary and the Children s Eye Care Center of New Jersey are divisions of the hospital.
